Moschino, Louis Vuitton, and MaxMara take their fashion shows to the streets

The next sites for Louis Vuitton, MaxMara, and Moschino’s next shows, which will all be in-person events on location, have been confirmed. This is likely the strongest expression of hope the fashion industry can offer, marking a turnaround from the caution of the previous two years, which saw many design houses hunker down and deliver digital-only presentations as a result of the pandemic. The determination to return to the road demonstrates renewed vigor and a desire to interact directly with new audiences.

MaxMara has announced that its resort 2023 collection will be showcased at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, Portugal. The Gulbenkian, as it is more commonly known, is a venue dedicated to the promotion of the arts, philanthropy, science, and education.

On June 28, the show will take place. Meanwhile, on June 19, Italian fashion label Moschino will present its spring/summer 2023 male collection in Milan, in what will be both a new venue and a homecoming.

Jeremy Scott, the creative director, recently showed collections in New York. Moschino hasn’t shown in Italy since January 2018, signaling a major shift in the brand’s approach to its Italian clientele. As more designers feel free to go beyond border boundaries, these announcements are expected to be the first in a wave.

This follows Chanel and Giorgio Armani’s recent appearances in the UAE, when they presented their cruise 2021 and spring/summer 2021 collections, respectively, in late 2021. Prada utilized the same strategy of exhibiting twice, repeating their spring/summer 2022 women’s show in both Milan and Shanghai.
