For the Fall/Winter 2025 collection, KENZO Creative Director NIGO collaborates with New York graffiti legend Futura, blending street art with luxury fashion. The collection, unveiled at Paris Fashion Week, is a cultural and artistic journey informed by NIGO’s personal experiences and creative friendship with Futura, which dates back to the ’90s.

Art Meets Fashion

The collection showcases Futura’s signature calligraphy and graffiti-inspired designs, which reimagine KENZO’s heritage motifs:

  • Redesigned KENZO flower featuring Futura’s atom logo
  • Graffiti spray effects on jackets, bombers, and kimono collars
  • Accessories like bouquet wraps, beer bottle holders, and baguette bags adorned with Futura’s custom font

These elements highlight NIGO’s vision of merging Tokyo’s vibrant energy with the creative pulse of New York.

A Cultural Connection

The collection is designed as a commuter-inspired journey from East to West, incorporating:

  • Knitwear influenced by vintage Japanese pachinko machines
  • Graphics of Mount Fuji and Paris inspired by KENZO’s Fall 1998 Orient Express collection
  • The Kenzo Weave pattern, present in denim and jacquard pieces

NIGO’s personal experiences in Japan and Paris shape this dynamic collection, which also celebrates his enduring partnership with Futura.

A Tribute to Friendship

NIGO recalls his first meeting with Futura in Tokyo, 1996, when the graffiti artist wore one of NIGO’s designs. Their decades-long creative relationship shines through in this collection, blending nostalgia with modernity to redefine KENZO for the FW25 season.
